Accufab Throttle Body, Plenum, and Intake Spacer

I just got done installing my new Accufab throttle body, plenum, plus intake spacer and wanted to share some before/after pictures. The install went smoothly, except for reattaching the thermostat as the intake spacer made it difficult to line it back up. Other than that install was very straight forward and not difficult. I could definitely feel a difference in acceleration over stock and seemed like it picked up a little bit of power as well. I was a little worried that I went with the 75mm rather than 70mm and thought that my idle would be way off. However, that is not the case as it idles normally and if it didn’t I could always use the Diablo Sport Predator Tuner to fix that. Overall nice bolt on, just wish it was a little cheaper in price.

Looks good man. Did you feel any power gains? I love the look of the Accufab, did you have to sand the inside of the plenum? Ive heard some of them have shit in there....Something like that

No idea on exact numbers but it definitely added a few horses; it pulls much better throughout the entire rpm range. The throttle response is the most noticeable to me though
No the plenum was clean and I didn’t need to sand anything down. Only issue I had was with the thermostat lining up, had to use a little muscle to get it on there. I am sure once I do more modifications such as long tube headers, x pipe, and exhaust I will take more advantage of the Accufab.

Accufab is the way to go. Your right on the price though. Its steep, but worth it my opinion. I only got the 70mm though. Still noticed huge difference.

Nice!

Now you need to do a little detailing under the hood. For reference see 01mggt's pics.

Nice.....is there a reason you elected to run the spacer? I have always been told not to run a spacer in conjunction with an aftermarket plenum. I don't think it will really hurt power too much, but it is designed to be run with the stock one and basically does nothing for plenums like the accufab.

I thought it would add additional power if I got the spacer. I wish I would have found this information out earlier then I could have saved some money. Do you think it is hurting the performance of the Accufab or should I just leave the spacer in.

Looks nice but you shouldnt have had to get anywhere close to messing with the thermostat to install a tb/plenum.

Haha I feel stupid now. I meant to say the "EGR Valve" was difficult to put back on with the spacer and not the thermostat. That should make more sense now

I don't know, only a before and after dyno would be able to tell really. Probably not even a significant difference to see 1 tenth in the quarter either way. But you definitely don't need one with that accufab

spacer isnt going to hurt or help anything, if you already got it on just leave it.

if that's the case, take it out and sell it......no point in just having extra parts. It's not like it takes a long time to remove

Yeh, if I would have done my research I wouldn't have bought the spacer. Now that it’s installed and on, I am just going to let it be. Not worth taking it off to sell for $20.

I think I have learned my lesson from the spacer and from now on I will post on here before purchasing anymore parts.

No harm done, its only 40 bucks. 40 bucks misplaced is nothing compared to how much you could spend.
