PTV issues with comp stage 3 blower cams?

I have an opportunity to go from my vt stage 2 blower cams to comp stage 3 blower cams for cheap/nothing. But i am wondering if there are any ptv issues with them.... I have seen people say they have run vt stage 3s with stock pistons and as far as i know they have a higher lift to duration ratio than most of the other cams. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I would just search around to see if people have ptv issues with crowers, I personally don't know.

It is more the open and close events that effect ptv than lift or duration

when you put your current cams in, how much PTV was there? how much more lift do the stage 3 cams have vs the stage 2?

meant the op. if the cams he wants to put in have less lift, I really don't see there being a PTV problem...

Theres more factors than lift that effect ptv.

Lift isn't the problem, it's a combination of lift, centerline and duration that causes problems.

these play a role, but the opening and closing events(as I stated in post #3) is the main culprits in ptv issues. Thats why some large cams don't have ptv issues and smaller cams do
