Wow...Just wow!
So my motor is rebuilt stroked and forged, new clutch, fly wheel, etc. Well at about 1000 miles I had some issues with the clutch disengaging, so I did a little research and found that our clutch pedal assemblies are adjustable! Contrary to everything I have heard, "you need to have an aftermarket quadrant to be able to adjust it." I knew about pulling back on the pedal to reset the pedal pull but did not know about this:
Clutch Adjustment After about 30 seconds of tinkering with it I must now say that my car has never been so easy and so fun to drive! I used 2 clicks and this car is a completely different machine the pedal is set to disengage at about 1/3 of total depression and I can not explain to you how much it improves driving performance and ease. I highly suggest that anyone who has never done this, do it and mess around with it until you find what you prefer. You can't screw anything up so give it a try! I never knew that this was an option with the stock assembly and boy I wish I had! Last edited by 01BlackGT; April 19th, 2010 at 11:56 AM. |
