Big enough that you could fit a whole other engine in it. Actually, it will be the size it was before the factory filled it up, it doesn't shrink.

BTW: Is this a serious question? Do you have a tape measure?

Thanks for the obvious answer. All I was looking for was a measurement in cubic inches. Im in the military nowhere near my car...and no tape measure either. I should of been more specific in my first post. What is the factory size of the engine compartment in cubic inches?

Could you give some idea of what you are wanting to put in it?

The 4.6 that is already in there is 28 inches long 25 5/8 inches wide and 26 inches high.
The DOHC 4.6 is 28 long, 30 wide, 29 7/8 high.
The 302 is 27 1/2 long, 18 3/4 wide for the 302, and the height of the is 20 3/4
The 351W is 27 1/2 long, 21 wide, and 23 1/4 high.
And the 460 is 32 long, 26 high, and 26 wide.

You will not have a problem getting a 5.0 up to a 347 and getting it to fit, or you could just go with the 351 bored and stroked to I think its a 396. Both will be a cinch to fit, but you will need a different K-member and motormounts. You can get the K-member from any 94-95 GT or Cobra.
