gas pump issues

Ever since I had my car in storage for a few years the gas pump will turn off every 1/2 gallon or so untill it gets over about 5 gallons? It never used to do it at all? More of an anoiance than anything but has anyone else delt with this issue? It takes an extra 10 min at the station because the guy has to keep comming back to get it going. Like I said once it gets a few gallons in it will go fine.

Have you ever checked the tank vent hose for being clogged? Things happen when vehicles go in storage. Check the vent line for kinks also.
