Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump

So I'm thinking of replacing the fuel pump this summer and was wanting to get the Walbro 255lph fuel pump. Now I asked a couple guys I know about it, and was told it will ONLY work if it's in a return-style fuel system. I know ours are setup for returnless-style, but why would Walbro make one for our cars and not say it's return-style only? Is this true? Reps for helping.

I would spend a little extra coin and get the ford GT pump (310 lph). I have heard a few people say that some of the pumps made for our cars arent made for them. That they burn out because they were supposed to be used for a return style instead of returnless .

But i rather have the best for 10-15 bucks more Oh and walbro makes the ford gt pump if that makes a difference.

No, only thing extra youll need is a piece of gates submersible fuel line, couple hose clamps, and couple female spade connectors. About $35 total.

no problem...Also inspect your filler neck grommet before you decide to do the install (about a week or couple days ahead of time)....If it looks pretty brittle or rotted out get a new one. Theyre cheap....That way you dont drop the tank, rip the grommet, then next thing you know you have to wait for one to come in before you can put the tank banck in.
