Valeo Clutch, same thing as King Cobra?

So my new Mustang which I was told has a Centerforce clutch grabs kinda high. I took it to a place a trust and my "high grabbing" suspicions were confirmed. My guy told me he usually goes with Valeo clutches. I utilized the search feature and found a thread that pretty much states that a Valeo make clutches for Ford who then repackages them as their own. Basically, I just want a little extra confirmation that it's OK to go with one of these. Thanks in Advance!

Sounds like the self adjusting mechanism is out of whack. I would junk that crap and get a quadrant and firewall adjuster before I would put a clutch in. Unless it is slipping or you feel the need spend the $$.

It's not slipping, and I really don't have a whole lot of extra $$$$. I should probably look into this a little further. Thanks for the heads up!

Sounds like your quadrant isn't adjusting porperly buddy, try pulling up on the pedal for a few seconds and see if it clicks, this should adjust it. If this doesn't work it's broken and you should definatly just buy a new quadrant since there seems to be no problems with your clutch. For you and wrenchhead, the quadrant is the pivoting point for the cable above the pedal, the stock is made of plastic and warps after a while. Good brands to go with would be steeda and I think UPR makes a good one, they are usually aluminum instead of plastic, guys also do things like a new cable or firewall adjuster for extra adjustability. You can get all of this stuff from places like americanmuscle.com or latemodelrestoration.com, Summit and Jegs also carry a lot of parts for our cars, search around and find the best prices before you buy.
