Diff gears
So i just bought a 99 gt with some slight mods, im new to mustangs(came from Pontiac GP land) but do turn wenches so this will be a nice project. anyway the diff gears in my gt are low end torque. and the rime are 17". the computer is set for stock diff gears and 16" rims( dont know if all gts came in 17" or not). the mph is 10 mph off( 30 is acctualy 20), is there a way to calculate the gearing accurately w/out pulling the diff cover? dont got cash for the oil that goes in it.

Jack the back of the car up and spin the tire one rotation while someone else is counting how many times the driveshaft goes around. If it goes around 3 1/4 times, you have 3.27s, 3 1/2 you have 3.55s, 3 3/4 you have 3.73s, or a little over 4 and you have 4.10s
