Regarding UPR Coil Overs:
I just called and talked to Mike at UPR for shits and grins to see about the CO kits they offer. He said the rears can only be used with the Comp Low Cost Socks or the Lakewood 50/50 shocks. Fronts can mate up to whatever strut a person pleases.
However, he said a lot of guys use the factory struts up front. I can't imagine this would work out very well but he kept reiterating that everyone does it and they love the ride. A little sketchy.
So, a couple questions have arisen from out conversation. The Lakewood 50/50 shocks are a pretty good overall shock meaning not setup for cornering or drag, just right in the middle. What struts would be a good choice for the front? I want to go the cheapest route possible without a bad ride.
Spring rates: I told Mike that my intentions for the car were to DD it, corner out in the country a little, make a couple strip visits in the summer, and have it look/ride great and not harsh. He told me for the front I should go with a 12-250 and 10-175 for the rear. Does this make sense to you guys?
Any and all thoughts greatly appreciated as always. Keep in mind unless I sell a bunch of stuff, CO's will be sometime in the mid summer more then likely.
