going for some continentals the particular model is rated pretty well on the site 5 stars but that could mean anything... does anyone have them on their cars?

I am on my second set of Continental tires. I've run Kumho and Sumitomo extreme high performance summer tires and Continental ultra high performance all-season tires on my Mustang. In my opinion the Continental all-seasons out performed those summer tires in all categories including dry traction and corner stability. I felt the car launched better with the 245/45-17 Continental than it does with 315/35-17 Sumitomos. And I'm not the only one. Check out the Tire Rack surveys on the following links.

www.tirerack.com

If you car is a daily driver then I highly recommend these tires. Especially if you live in a northern state where it snows.

Edit: I give up. I can't make the links work. But if you go to Tire Rack, select brands, then select the tire you can see the testing and the survey results.
