Wing or No Wing

Thinking of taking off the factory wing what do you think off or on it's a 2002 gt black

I just took mine off (Even though it wasn't supposed to be there in the first place) and I love it. I love the fact that it's different than everybody else. Of course after I did three other people around here did too. I will never put that thing back on. I don't have any really good pics of it yet. The day I took it off I washed and waxed the car afterward and by the time I took a pic it was dark.

Sorry homie, but that has to be the dumbest thing I've heard you say. Tell the rotty my in-laws own she has balance issues as she chases your ass down the street. I'll also let the owner of the doberman three blocks away know.

I like it without it- I actually was going to remove the one on my 02 GT but traded it for my Cobra intead.

As for the balance issue...I beleive they were talking visually and not balance as to throwing the cars balance out of whack.

+1 U hit the nail right on the head thats what I was talking about, more of look of the stang not the performance like i said some dogs to me look weird without a tail it wont make you faster or slower whether you have the wing or not! it just looks naked to me!

I have an 01 GT, also black. I like them with and without the wing. Without it, it reminds me a little of the old 5.0 LX style. Kind of a stripped-down look. I have thought about removing it, but I have no plans to do it any time soon.

See spoilers are played out to me. Don't get me wrong on the right car a spoiler can look really good, but they are so typical now-a-days. They are even starting to come stock on family cars. I think a Stang with no wing gives it the back to basics look. Strips off all the bull sh*t and leaves just the car and it's performance.

What makes you think I'm going to tell you it's coming? LOL

This sh*t looks stream line without it.

I like my year spoiler better because the two end connect to the trunk but the 01 thru 04 have more of a bench wing which also looks good I just like mine better!

So you all are aware, wings are ONLY BENEFICIAL with down force OVER 100 MPH other then that it causes drag. So for most peeps its a cosmetic thing. How many of the wings are even functional and the factory wings are COSMETIC. There is no downward angle to the wing to provide down force. Look at a Cobra R wing then a factory wing and notice the difference. All Saleen wings are functional and that is why i use one as well as a front air dam.

FYI ya'll.
