Also about the whole muscle car thing. The older muscle cars had huge cam'd out engines and there was no emmision laws or anything. Now we have laws on emmisions and everything and also the older muscle cars got 5-8mpg at like 30-70 cents a gallow if not cheaper now we get 17mpg at 4$ so i think we lost out hp to get better mpg. Build ur engine up to make it a true muscle car with alot of hp and get ur 5 mpg but dont come cryin when u cant afford to drive ur car around let alone pay some huge insurance bill.

and on old GM muscle cars, the black paint between the tail lights meant that you had a big block under the hood

your insurance doesnt go up because you modded your car to be fast. They dont know anything about that.

And as far as gas mileage... who buys a v8 mustang with gas mileage on their mind. And mine still gets descent gas mileage as long as my foot is not in it every other gear. I have a company truck and a 07 harley f150 that can go get groceries and so forth.

our 2v stangs are fading away! I hate it too. But it is what it is!

and as far as muscle... i have always wondered if stangs can be considered muscle cars as far as lower power and the OHC design. Not really "american muscle" like. More like japanese muscle like because its a v8. And usually its the imports with the ohc design.

Now take the camaro/vette/TA.... Yes that is the traditional american muscle. Not trying to swing on GM's nuts but they have done it right with those cars.

Actually you can move the spoiler back and have the holes still hidden. it moves back just enough to cover the existing holes. no need to re-paint anything. just plug the hole under the spoiler with silicon or something so it doesn't leak.

The color on my trunk where the wing used to be is a different color then the area where the wing wasnt. So if i moved it back you would see the paint under where the wing use to be 2 different colors not a clean look.

I personally like both wing and no wing but with the wing I like having it a diff color. I have my wing off now and need to fill holes and paint but when it was on it was black to go with others. If you want picks check my garage.
