Went to the track last night...

No bueno. I just finished the coil over install with 50/50 rear and 70/30 front Lakewoos drag shocks. Thought it would hook better. Best run was a 14.11 at like 98.60. All my other runs were right around 14.350 at 97.40 or so. My 60 ft times were around 2.2 mostly all night. I was leaving at around 1k for the most part but tried launching at just above idle a couple times as well.

I know I need lower control arms and DR's. I ultimately need a tuner, 4.10's, tires, and lcas. But that's just not going to happen anytime soon. What mod would be the best for me right now to get me into the 13's?

Please leave feedback on times as well.

Gears and you'll be running mid13's. Tires and it'll be low 13's

he's an auto, it'll take more than tire & gears to see low 13's.

Should I/Can I do gears without a "tuner"? Wouldn't it be pointless to buy gears without a hand held because I need to recalibrate my speedo, etc.? Everyone swears by the M/T ET Streets. What size would be the correct fit for my stock 17x8" wheels? Sorry for a double post...I dozed off and forgot I already posted this haha. How about control arms. I mean I know MM is the best company, but would I be able to get away with some UPR ones or something cheaper?

If you wait a few months I am going to do a group buy for Team Z LCA for a good price.

You can do gears without a handheld, but you will rack up about 1 extra mile for every 10 miles on the odometer. Doesn't take much to figure out how far off the speedometer is. My handheld wouldn't calibrate my speedo, so I rode around for like three months with gears until I got the Tuner back from getting fixed. It was a brand new Livewire, also. Those 18's are not helping you at all.

Especially if it works like it should when you pay 560 bucks for it. It just has no affect on gears except the fact it calibrates your speedo. Your time slip will tell you how fast you are going. You can get a speed cal for alot less, but in the long run a tuner will get you more options. The only option I have used mine for in the past 2 years is to calibrate my speedo, though, and the occasional high octane tune when I want to spend a few extra bucks on gas to get a few more ponies.

What size tires are you running the rear? What size wheels? What tire pressure? Spare tire and jack out or in? (have you tried both? Extra weight in the back might help you hook better)

I'm sure there's something you can gain from pressures alone, probably not enough to find 11 hundredths, but some part of it.

If he has 18's I don't know how much tire pressure he can take out.

If he has 18s he could probably find a tenth just by going to smaller wheels and getting rid of a few pounds of unsprung rotating mass. I don't think FR500s are all that light, either.

you cant do gears without a handheld in an auto, thats a no no. It will mess up the shifts with the VSS reading different speeds than what you are doing and will eventually cause trans issues

FR500s are pretty damn heavy. I'd say your best bet would be gears and a stall.

IMO you'll be fine with the upr's. there are some fast cars with them. two buddies run sub-11's with them

I kept the jack and spare in. I was running 23 lbs in my Nexen 3000 tires. Pretty crappy. I warmed them up a bit only a couple times. The time I really cut the before was my best run.

Man, I wish I had the 1k I need for gears, tuner, lcas, and dr's. Not gonna happen lol.
