1st time at track with this car
this was my first time at the track with this car and i cant belive after all the money i spent i only took off 7 or 8 tenths that sucks . my best time was 14.048 @98.74 mph and part of that was my fault i dident know i was gonna take it down the track<i had 3/4 tank of gas and about 60 to 70 lbs in trunk including jack and spare

If it was your first track run how do you know you took off 7 or 8 tenths?

The mods you listed in your garage...from what I can translate..only net you 10-15 hp tops. I know the billet grills etc are nice but they don't make ya faster....just stickers do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Don't typically like to go by what everyone says because each car and driver are different. You got some numbers to compare to the next time now.

Way back in 02 my GT went 13.45@102 with the only mods of K&N drop in filter, O/R X w/welded in Flowmaster 40's and a UPR shifter. On stock Goodyear tires I was getting 2.0 60's. I would suggest practicing your driving before spending any more money.

Ok yes a stock automatic, convertable gt is gonna run high 14's if not alittle slower. Your mods give you around 25 hp over stock tops. And as for your choice of tire those are still just street tires not drag radials so they aren't going to do you any good. A 14.0 out of an auto is pretty good considering you've added more weight then anything.

If all you're doing is spinning the back tires it's going to just get worse if you take weight off the back end. All that gas in the tank and stuff in the trunk probably helped you some to hook up. If you're already spinning and want to take weight off, take it off the front. Even moving weight from front to back (like the battery) will help

The power mods listed in your garage are:
cai, pypes x pipe no cats and a cat back, pullies,tb,plenum, sct live wire. please tell me you didnt spend $3k on that stuff? Bolt ons dont add up to much really, get yourself a gear and you'll be in the high 13's.

the springs are also hurting your 1/4 mile times. lowering springs are bad for drag. On your next outing, take the front sway bar off. It will help transfer weight better

I've got everything you've got except a cat-back,lowering springs and I use a diablo and I don't even have 2k in all my stuff including the nitrous kit. You need to shop around or start installing stuff yourself if you want to save money.
