serious drivability issues
So im still trying to figure out what my problem could be. The car was running fine and then a buddy and me installed a front mount intercooler. disconected MAF for a bit, reclocked the vortech, buttoned everything up and it idles and starts up fine but at partial throttle there is a serious misfire at 2000 rpm and up. Im have a lot of surging and bucking and Now it sounds like im having compressor surge even without boosting. As its misfiring you can hear the compresser fluttering. I upgraded the BPV and still same thing. I took it to a very reputable tuner that only tunes modulars and he seems to be stumped too. I have no DCTs either. The MAF is reading fine below 2k rpms. My Maf is only 2 months old too and is 2600. I have checked for vacuum leaks and leaks in the connections but i have found nothing. Any ideas? The tuner says its not allowing him to dial in the Air/Fuel Ratio. It keeps changing what amounts to add or to take away

Im going to throw out a few ideas.
Vacuum leaks? Ur postive theres no vacuum leaks? Bypass valve stuck open? Pigtail that goes into MAF ripped? Clean the MAF Replace the COP's? Just for shits and giggles, run the regular discharge again, and see if it still has the same problem. Should take like 20 minutes to setup...connect the BPV, and run the discharge pipe done.

i have pretty much checked that stuff except for the cops. The stock bosch one was on there when the problem started and i changed it out hoping to fix at least the compressor surge issue.

Idk thats wierd. No leaks in the intercooler piping to cause turbulance on the MAF right? The bypass valve is t'd off and setup correctly right?
Idk though, Id try setting up the discharge pipe only with the MAF again and see how that is, see if its just when you have the Intercooler setup

Blow through or suck through? If suck through its always a possibility that maf location with the i/c is hurting you.
