01 Bullitt Mods to get above 350rwhp?

My Bullitt is completely stock, and i have been looking at some stuff to make it a wicked street machine. I was going to start off with some simple bolt ons but reading around here im realizing that getting over 300hp will be a challenge. What could i do to really make a jump in hp. Should i port and polish my heads i have on it or buy new ones? Supercharger? Help me out haha. It would be greatly appreciatied.

s/c 350 easily on a conservative tune. it will cost from 3k+ and then install costs if you cant install it yourself. To get your heads ported its around ~600 I think, not sure.

every one is going to say, dont waste your money on bolt ons, save and get FI. there is a thread on here of a budget supercharger build that got the kid 380rwhp or so..

EDIT: he's only 2k into it with tune

To get above 350rwhp without a power adder is a lot of work, time and money.

Here's the formula that I've seen that will get you there:

'99 or '01 Cobra shortblock
TFS heads
Custom Cams
Kooks headers
every other bolt on imagineable
and a kick ass tune.

Yeah that would be nice. I want a fast car but doesnt need to be the best. Ive looked at the s/c and i think could put it on with my dad. We just rebuilt the T3650 in it on our own. Do you have the thread that got that guy 380rwhp?

All i need is $3800. Easier said than done when you work at a pizza shop and are about to go to college haha. If i s/c it, are there any other mods i would need?

you don't need 3800 dollars...

you will need the supporting fuel system mods which would consist of:

supercar gt fuel pump (with fuel line) or focus fuel pump
injectors (38-42lb works fine)

oh, and a dyno tune

pretty much everything you need is listed in that thread

not really everything you did from there would just compliment the s/c

haha its cool...just check it out. pretty sure it lists everything including the whole s/c kit, maf, and fuel setup...

i would check out corral.net

they have some great classifieds. got my kit for 1650 shipped on there...then a complete maf/fuel setup for 350 so right at 2k and then a few more misc things for a couple hundred bucks and a dyno tune and thats it...guages aren't a must but will be getting those as well (boost and a wideband)

Thanks dude! No offense, but why the fuck isnt that stickied yet? Ive seen that used effin countless countless times.

Anyways, you could do what Bullitt 5339 did, but in all honesty, its cheaper to do a supercharger install.

Read that link above me, or in mysig, itll help you out a lot. I put my whole kit togeather for $1596 (not including shipping or tune) If you have any questions, PM me

I didn't do it............ I saw it done on a local guy's car. My old GT struggled to make 330 with the Cobra shortblock, Patriot heads and VT Stage 2 cams and every bolt on.....

I'm not retarded anymore, I could have made 100 more rwhp for half the money, so this time I will go supercharged. (if I ever finish my suspension, that is). It's just too much money for the horsepower to stay naturally aspirated.

Bro I am in college and deliver pizza's...I did take a loan out for it tho. but only a Personal loan with 10% interest. Easy to pay off. Its 135 a month! No with summer you can work more!

So with a loan I bought a Procharger polished P1sc, Procharger 3 core intercooler, Big REd RAce valve, and all the piping and couplers!

Then will money of my own...

3.5k stall - $600 (Edge Racing)
New Ford RAcing injectors - $185 shipped(svtp.com)
Ford GT supercar pump - $165(lethal Performance)
Kenne Bell 20AMP BAP - $231 (dagostinoracing.com)
BBK plenum/tb combo - $165 shipped(moddedmustangs.com)
Fairbanks Shiftkit - $124 (700R4, 700 Raptor Transmission from PATC, 700R4 4L60E 48RE 4L80E)
3.4 pulley - I think it was $35 (moddedmustangs.com)
AutoMeter Wideband -$255 (Jegs maybe)
Autometer Boost/Vac - $60 (jegs maybe) x-mas gift
Gauge bezel - $not to sure $65 maybe(i forget) x-mas gift

All I can remember right now but you can do it man. All installed with my Dad and friends besides the shift kit and stall.
Just take time..but well worth it!
