Oh God.. not again!

Once again I am getting the MAJOR loss of power/bogged down feeling in my car. Almost to the point of dying. Only happens once the engine has warmed up. Last diagnostics said MAS, which was obviously incorrect, because it's still doing it! (I'm still guessing bad coil somewhere) I can't stand this!! Returning for another diagnostics tomorrow...

I've had the car for about 6 months or so... only began with this problem about 2 months ago... (already tried plugs, boots, fuel filter and mas)... now Im just pissed off and ready to spend money on upgrades.. not repairs.

Take your IAC off and fill it with TB Cleaner...Let it sit then empty it and let it air dry...Put it back on the car and see if that fixes it...

Thats the IAC just incase you dont know...

6 Months? Shouldn't it still be under some type of warranty?

The TB cleaner is Throttle Body cleaner.

No luck with that either... probably needed to be cleaned up, but my car is still running like shit! This is making me insane!

Have you checked all the Vacuum line sthat go into the intake?

Sounds like it might have a vacuum leak like a leaky hose that expands when it heats up and allows unmetered air into the car...

I've checked the best I know how... I did notice what seems to me like an excess of oil in the IAC and lines when I cleaned it out earlier, but then again.. I'm not experienced in that area in the slightest. Seems like I've tried it all (except coils), but then again, it's not fixed. I do remember reading a post about a chrome CAI actually causing a heat increase. I also have one... you think any chance that could be causing problems with a stock MAS? I go back again tomorrow for another diagnostics, and I'm not leaving without some answers. (I'm thinking I should maybe try a place that deals with high performance)... Wish me luck!

The CAI that is chrome shouldnt mess up anything with the MAS. If you dont figure it out tommarow I would suggest just buying the new coil packs and replacing them. They are not to expensive, and while you are in there you can even go with a higher performance set that way when you do need better ignition you have a step in the correct direction.

You know... I've considered cats, because of the same symptons/problems in the past from a different car. And today, while buying some TB cleaner, I noticed a sign in the auto store about O2 sensors, and was like hmmmm, but I hit the diagnostics tomorrow afternoon (again, but this time for free) around 4pm and afterwards should have a clearer direction of where to spend the money I saved for my Steeda Triax (and then some).. Thanks for all the feedback

Well... turns out I never made it back for another diagnostics. I talked to them and agreed to take it in after I get back from vacation. So... basically I will not know shit for another 9 days or so.. Gives me something to look forward to I guess. BTW, what's the deal with the small code scanners, etc... at places like O' Reilly's or AutoZone? Would they be worth having to try and get some codes or something? I don't have the slightest clue about them.

No, just get a tuner. It reads codes and improves your car's performance.
