you shouldnt need a donor car for a mark8 swap, just a 4.6 kmember and whatever wiring harness you need. If you want something easier, I believe the 3.8 k member will take a 302/351 block. Making moderate power out of the 302 is easy and cheap, might be your best bet.

Im going to check on that one. I know of a 95 5.0 I can get ahold of so I am going to see if I can talk the owner down on the price.

I have a bunch of the stuff I took of my GT that you'd need for the swap

K member with all front brakes and suspension
Transmission
Driveshaft
Complete rear end w/ suspension and brakes
Fuel tank/pump

I also have all the wiring harnesses/computers from an '03 Cobra if you could get those to work. I made the GT wiring/computer work with the Cobra motor, so you should be able to make the Cobra wiring/computer work with a GT motor

So with that all I would need is the engine and gauge cluster?

shouldnt have to get the gauge cluster, just dissable pats and I think yours will be fine. I could be wrong though.

This is why I am now pricing out Cobras. It's a disease.
