Yup I was stupid and used the gaskets that came with the headers, and had to swap them out for some SCE copper ones when I blew the pass side gasket. Luckily the second time doing it was way easier than the first time I did it. Still never remove the k member to do them

Ohhh ok, they are just saying where the collectors are I won't need the gaskets down there... which is what connects to the mid-pipe (Mac offroad h-pipe in my case)

Right?

Thanks guys, god this forum is awesome!

Suggestions for header gaskets?

K removal is not a must when doing long tubes, it just takes a little longer. it only took me 2 hours to swap out the header gaskets. You just need to be able to lift the enging up a little

I had a header leak that i had to fix. I knew i had to drop the k so i figured i'd put in a tubular K. Then coil overs, A arms, etc. I figured if i'm doing the front, might as well do some coil overs in the back. So new lowers, TQ arm, PHB, sway bar. Be careful because sometimes the "while I'm at it" can get really expensive!

@ OP I used the FRPP gaskets. Part number will be the same regardless of what brand of header you're putting on

It'll tick like an exhaust leak. Almost sounds like an older car with a bad lifter

It'll tick because there is only exhaust going through it every other upstroke of the piston. If it were a hiss that means that something is leaking that constantly has pressure to it.
