suspension question

i searched around a little bit and couldn't find exactly what i was looking for so here goes. i'm going to install the eibach pro kit springs and was going to put the kyb agx adjustables on it because i've had experience with other cars with that set up and it seemed to be ok. are any of you guys running that set up? is there something better in that price range? the use is gonna be pure back road spirited driving and dd. another question would be do i need shocks with those springs? i'd rather spend the money on other stuff right now.

its better to get shocks and springs at the same time. because when you lower a car on the stock shocks ive herd some stories about bending the stock shocks. and why not replace both at the same time so you don't have to do it all over again. when your shocks go out.

I wouldn't use KYB, I've had them and they are okay as a stock replacement but not much else. If you're just doing back road spirited driving I wouldn't spend the money on an adjustable shock either. Look into tokico blue's with those springs.

And yes you should do both shocks/struts and springs at the same time. You're drastically increasing the spring rate when you put in lowering springs, so you want your shock/strut to be able to handle that.

I've had a ton of different shocks on my car. I got strange engineering adjustable shocks when I first put my lowering kit on, and yeah the adjustable compression was cool for drag vs road racing, but they made a lot of noise. I finally ended up with koni shocks and they're the only thing I would buy again

they're their best non adjustable shocks. All stainless internals and lifetime waranty. They got rid of my suspension noise and my car hooks and handles noticeably better now

The only non-adjustable Konis I'm aware of are the brand-new STR.Ts, which I've yet to hear anything good about, certainly no reason to purchase them instead of Tokico Blues (which are similar price range, just a little bit cheaper). Koni's a good company, but I wouldn't settle for anything less than Sports (yellows), especially if you're thinking about autocrossing the car.
