Question

LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD please help

i need to get a lower intake manifold by the end of this week i was looking at thyphoon but dont know to much about it, then elderbrock but they have carburated or not and idk which to get, and theres a ford racing 1 that is PI and its thicker and bigger than stock, i have no idea which or what to get if any of you guys can point me in the right direction i would apreciate it, i also checked out trick flow track heat but its not the same set-up or look as the 1 i have so i dont know if it will work well with my cai tb and plenum, what do u guys recommend????

As far as the edlebrock piece, do you plan on running a carb? If not then get the non-carbed version.

Unless you're pushing major power just get a replacement stocker

Dcook you can't really port the stocker without risking cracking.

Buy the Typhoon and have a shop do a gasket match port job for you.

That's what I had done to mine and it runs good, but most of your power is in the high RPMs, not a lot on the lower end. Mine really moves when I hit about 3500 rpm, but with the heads and cams I have on mine I'm running to 6500 rpm.

Good to know, thanks blackbird!

What about the FRPP unit? That's a lot thicker than the stocker, and probably not plastic

The frpp bullitt style intake(2v svo) won't match up to regular 2v heads from my understanding. If you want an intake that won't crack if you have an n2o backfire but don't want to spend a ton then by all means get the typhoon. But the hardballr will see alittle bit better gains. Since your reving to 6500 then the trickflow or the edelbrock will take you up there with ease. The edelbrock is cheaper then the trickflow to get it all setup. Unless your like me and scoure eBay and find a track heat for just over half of retail.
