The pressure plate will come with your clutch kit. The flywheel is either 6 or 8 bolt. Do you have romeo or windsor heads?

Im not really sure.

My door jam sticker has a date of 08/01, so my guess is that it will be the 01-04 Mustang which will be a 6 bolt.

Right???

I also decoded my VIN number and discovered that my car was assembled in Dearborn: Dearborn, Michigan.

Not sure if that will help....

Go count your valve cover bolts just to make sure. You'll either have 11 or 13/14. That way you can make sure.

I was able to find this package that brings everything needed, well almost everything

Look here

Looks like a good kit.

What are yalls opinions on this clutch?

Seems to bring everything for the clutch end

But i'm a bit curious, it says to check the 8th digit of your VIN if it is a W then you have the 6 bolt crank.

But my 8th digit is a X soooo….

It confusing because it says that the kit is applicable for a 1996-2004, but it also says that it’s for a 6 bolt crank, don’t 1996-2001 bring a 8 bolt crank, and a 2001-2004 have the 6 bolt….

Lol you see my confusion….

Thanks again

This is what they say......

Q: What flywheel do I use for my 4.6?

A: All 4.6 Cobras use an 8 bolt flywheel, FMS # M6375G46 for Billet or M6375R00 for Aluminum. GT's are a little different. You will need to check the VIN # of the car. If the 8th character in the VIN is the letter X, the motor is a Windsor and will use the same 8 bolt flywheel as the Cobras do. If the 8th character is the letter W, the motor is a Romeo and uses a 6 bolt flywheel part # M6375F46.

You have an 11" clutch. So this one will work since it's a 10.5

Yeah. I'm ass backwards man sorry. 6 bolt not 8. That ad makes no sense. If you have a romeo car it should be 6 bolt??? So..idk.

if the car isn't your dd, you could just pull the trans out and count the bolts since you're gonna do it anyway.
