Discussing Question About Leather Seats in the 99-04 Forum. i used some saddle soap i think it was kinda of harsh on my black ...

Question About Leather Seats


i used some saddle soap i think it was kinda of harsh on my black leather the driver seat kinda of started to peel.... so i stopped using it... what do yall recommend i use

I don't know what could stop the peeling effect, but I stick with Meguiars cleaners for my ride... ALL the time.

Most name brand leather treaters will do the job, but they won't undo any damage you've aleady done.

The term "mustang" is not literal. Your car is not actually a horse, and it's seats are not saddles. Saddle soap is made to strip impurities from thick leather (like the leather on a saddle), and not made to clean the thin, cheaply produced "leather" that adorns the interior of your "Mustang". In conclusion, you really F'd up buddy......

Go to a western shop, get some boot conditioner, works very nicely on boots and leather seats.
