03GT Stock 5speed binding?...problem.
Ive had this problem since my dad drove my car, and i dont know what the problem is. It doesnt want to go into gear when im racing it, when im shifting from 2nd, to 3rd. Does the same thing from 4th to 5th. This is really hurting my times, not to mention my shoulder (i tore my right shoulders rotator cuff 8months ago in Iraq). I thought it was the shifter, so i went out and got a Hurst short throw. I didnt notice it for quite awhile until today when i went to the strip and ran 15's with almost FULL bolt ons. Has anyone ever had this problem? This is somewhat of a repost but im really reaching out looking for an answer on this one, im not as experianced with trannys as i am engines, any help would be greatly appreciated.

i haven't heard about the 5th gear issue much .. the 3rd gear on the 3650 is known to be a hard stick at high rpms though.
maybe you need a clutch?

I don't know as much about the newer cars.... but I have had endless trouble dailing in my T-56. The biggest issue is the adjustment on the clutch cable.
Is your throughout bearing hydraulic? I have seen issues in race cars crop up due to air in the line.... Just food for thought.... after all, bleeding the line is easier than dropping the trans...
