High flow Catts vs. None

I know what cats do for the legality of your car.
But was are the advantages and disadvantages of having a High flow catted X pipe and a X pipe with no cats. Which adds more power? Is the high flow always legal? Which has a better sound? ect..

I know some ansers can be opinionated but thats alright...

thanks

The amount of difference between High flow cats and No cats is very small you would almost not see any gains in HP or TQ worth mentioning

Very little difference peformance wise like the guy above me said but the dissadvantage of not having cats is how loud your car will be and complaints from the nieghbors I don't have any cats and I love the sound but it drive people on my street crazy but I don't care I won't change it!

just keep your stock mid pipe and bolt it back on before you get your emissions done.

or arkansas! there as an article i read in tuner magazine ( it was the only thing laying around my buddys apartment) but anyways there was a test on a 350z with stock, aftermarket, and no cat. there was only a 1hp and 2ft lb difference in a high flow and no cat.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

yea i cans see them making a difference in fi cars... I have an o/r hpipe and jus ordered some pypes minicats... i think im going to rig it up so i can change between cats and no cats using clamps.... I think there are a few companies that sell catted mid pipes that allow you to switch between on road and off road easily
