its official, Im a dumbass... lol

So I spent about 2 hours last night "patching" up the hole in my AC line... well, what I though was the hole.

Went to autzone after I let the epoxy dry for about 15 hours and bought some freon to charge the line with. WELLL

<------------------------------ this dumbass

patched the wrong fuckign hole... or more literally, patched something that wasn't even leaking.

I gotta do the whole process over again tonight. AT least this time around I know where the leak is... (its the one thats dripping freon that I just tried to charge my compressor with.... ugh)

Just wanted to share my humility. haha

Everyone has Problems

A mother who had lost her only son went to the man of religion in her village and said: "Is there anything you can give me to reduce the pain that I feel?" "Yes," he said. "There is a wonderful thing you can do. I want you to go and get me a mustard seed from a home that has no problems. Such a mustard seed can ward off all problems. When you find it, bring it to me and I will use it to relieve your pain." So the mother started out and came to a big mansion. Nothing could possibly be wrong here! She knocked on the door, told what she was looking for, and they answered, "You've come to the wrong house." And then they told her all their problems. As she was listening to their problems, she thought, "I know something about problems... Maybe I can help these people with theirs." So she listened to them; and this helped people. She kept on searching for her magic mustard seed. But no matter where she went, she could not find that seed. Everyone everywhere had some kind of troubles.

But she really did find the magic mustard seed, because in trying to help others solve their problems, she forgot all about her own.

Did I copy pasta that from a strange website? Yes I did.

Lol that sucks sorry man. How did you blow your AC line? I bent mine out of the way and at the bend it bursted open. I was going to get it welded.I would think epoxy would block or clog the line?

Also, you need to have the AC system vacuumed out, cant just buy a recharge kit. It needs to vacuum out all that moisture, otherwise you can ruin your AC. Just a heads up man

haha yeah I heard about the moisture. I guess we will just have to find out it will mess up my ac. I gotta get it on at least one leg.... its just unbearably hot here.

Yeah I busted it moving the AC line out of the way. It was a mm too far... SNAP!

The guy helping me install my S/C actually did it... but its my fault haha.

yeah I let the epoxy get almost dry so it was extremely thick so it wouldn't drip into the little hole. the good thing is that the crack was very small so this fix "Should" work. We will find out tomorrow!

Love hte fail pic btw

You need to get the A/C evacuated and recharged properly. That moisture is going to turn into ice as it flows with the coolant. Ice takes up more room than water and is going to either break your expansion valve or condenser.

I'll just keep a look out for your next thread about having to spend another $300 to fix your A/C system again. Get it fixed right today or you're going to spend a lot more in the near future.
