knocking sound in a 99 gt suspension help

I am looking into buying a 99 gt coupe and the guy selling it said this:

" there is a slight knocking sound that comes from the suspension. I know it doesn't make sense but its not the motor! I have a brand new front end in the car, the rack and pinion was done when I got it as well as the shocks, struts, c/c plates, springs, motor mounts, bushings and tie rods, there is also a new bump steer kit. I have thrown alot of money at it and still cant come up with the problem for the knocking."

he also said that the only suspension parts not changed are the k member, brakes, and subframes.

Please any insight to what the problem is will help.

is it coming from the front, if so check the ball joints, swaybar bushings, endlinks. If coming from the rear check the torque box's and control arm bushings.

Check the rear swaybar bolts, I had a knock like that when I went over a bump and one day I happened to be under car and I was able to shake the swaybar because two bolts were loose
