99-04 Glassback?

Is it possible to install a glass roof on our body style? I live close to CDC in Novi Michigan and I see their glassback Mustangs there all the time. How much would a setup like this cost for my 2002 and is it even possible to do?

Google would be your best bet for that.

Few things to consider though.

1. leaks since its aftermarket bs and the car isnt designed for it along with having to deal with cracks, chips, all that other little bs
2. cost
3. if youre talking about what I think you are (glass that runs all the way across the top), that prolly isnt too good of an idea for a unibody car from a structural standpoint which would be my main thing above all

Hmm I understand what you are saying. Keeping those three things in mind... this doesn't sound like such a good idea. I am most concerned with 1 and 3. Makes sense.. Thanks ajm

The roof top itself isn't structural. Yes, the pillers and side of the roof should stay, but the rest of it isn't structural.

Aside from the things already mentioned it doesn't look like an option for earlier than 05 and I personnaly think they look ugly. I'd rather go with a vert.

Never said it was. I said from a *structural standpoint* meaning a general outlook of the rigidity of the car. I.E. in a cheap flimsy ass unibody car the roof and floor are what hold the "cabin" together for the most part. To go more into detail of what im talking about cars are designed for the impact to be absorbed by the car front to back or vice versa and transferred around the "cabin area" as i-car would call it for whatever reason. A majority of that energy is transferred through the front/rear glass and roof. What happens when you chop out your whole roof and throw in glass. Oops.
