sorry to see this late but white 2000's have a ZR paint code (mustang only) Z1 is close, but not the right color (it's the white used on police cars)

For as much as you like to tell everyone about how your car just got repainted etc I hope you at least know which alternate/variance was used (although prolly standard), as well as the paint line. If not you may have some interesting times later down the road after sunfade etc if it ever gets hit with a color like that.

Take a i was playin, he already found out what he was lookin for with the paint color/name. Dont know what your talkin about paint line or sun fade bc it has a lifetime warrenty

To sum it up though for future reference

Blending or not such color isnt very easy to match if you ever need something painted bc it gets wrecked it.

Example of the paint line thing. Car was painted with basf, ppg, etc, then you spray something like sherwin-williams or sikkens (suckens) which dont match for shit, or vice versa bc no line is gonna be the same. Use the same paint line, same exact chip code, and youve got a really close match if its not sun faded much.

Variance thing. You have different variances/alternates for *most* colors. Especially pearls and metallics. So knowing which alternate was used is going to be a huge factor in color match although for an all over im willing to bet my left nut it was standard. Saying you have paint code "xx" is just a general statement, you can put xx into the mixing system, and next thing you know it pops up 10 variances, lighter, darker, more/less , blue, green, red, more yellow, finer, coarser, and/or a combo of those as well as the chip location in the chip book. So knowing exactly what alternate was used can make a difference.

As for fade, that has nothing to do with warranty. No matter what car, paint, etc it is the paint is going to fade over time. I dont mean fade out to a chalky white I mean the color with lighten etc. So if a panel has to be repainted, once again blended or not. Youll be able to see the difference. Yellow is particularly bad about this, and even more so for all colors on cheap ass cars such as kias, hyundais, suzukis etc.
