HELP coil on plug!!!!!

ok guys so i got a quick question. i was pulling into my drive way when all of a sudden a loud popping noise started from the engine bay. when i popped the hood i saw that the coil for the second cylinder on the left was moving and poping with air. has anyone had this happen before? is it just an o-ring that went out or did the spark plug strip? also it looks like the injector rail is covering the coil on do i have to remove it to pull the plug? and lastly if it did strip am i fucked or can i fix it? thanks for the help.

p.s. its got 56,xxx miles as far as i know the ignition system is completly stock and I havnt done th 60k service to change any plugs or anything.

you need a new head or need to put a helicoil / timesert in.

and no you dont have to remove the rail. just the 8mm bolt holding the coil on and the wireing harness plug on the coil and it will bend out of the way of the raill just pull up on it and you will probably have your spark plug stuck to it with a piece of the head still on the threads of the plug

do a timesert best fix. running an oversized plug works with cast heads but has issues with aluminum.

They aren't hard to fix. Just get the timesert kit and follow the directions. I did mine in my dorm parking lot. Welcome to the world of Windsor. And ya it took the threads out of the head.
