Gear question

Sorry everyone, I know everyone is tired of informing us newbies about gears but i didn't see the answer I was looking for on the search page. My next mod is gears (decided 4.10's) Now at the same time do I need to change my flywheel? I thought someone mentioned changing it to a 31 spline, feedback please, and is there anything else I need to change at the same time.

GOD I HATE BEING A DUMBASS!!!!

flywheel has absolutly nothing to do with your gears so purge that from your brain now. the flywheel is connected ot the driveshaft inbetween the engine and tranny.

when they say changing to 31 spline they are referring to the differential and axles, if you change the diff, youve got to change the axles. a lot of money if you dont need it. do you drag race the car with slicks or drag radiasl? if not dont worry about eh diff and the axles. just put the gears in and be done wiht it
