bullet proof engine
have an 2001 mustang gt and want to make around 390 to 400 horsepower. so far all ihave done to the car is full exhaust and jlt cai.
i know a supercharger is the best way to go but before i spend that kind of money i want to bullet proof my engine so it doesn't blow up on me. i already have 105,000 miles on it so i was considering getting a new shortblock possibly the one they sell at dss racing. is there anything else you guys can think of to help ensure my engine can run optimaly for the next 5 years or so. this is my daily driver and will never see track time only street comp for me. thanks |

I would look into VT engines for a shortblock. Very good guys and they built the fastest N/A modular motor in the world. If you want your motor to last if you get a new one, make sure you do a good breakin, and also make sure you have a good tune.
