Patriot Heads and Comp 262's
Finally got it done!
Well, the numbers are finally in. Based at 250rwhp 291 rwt. (K&N CAI, UDP, Stainless Works full custom exhaust - longtubes, race pipes, x pipe into turbo mufflers) Added - Patriot Performance stage II heads, Comp Cam 262 cams, Trick Flow Plenum, Summit brand 75MM throttle Body, Accel COP's. Also replaced chains, seals, idler pullies, chain guards, water pump, thermostat just for piece of mind since we where in there. Final numbers 310 rwp 320 rwt. No issues with install. Not too shabby if you ask me. This sucker pulls like a frieght train now. Last on the list is the upper and lower control arms (lakewood).

those are very nice numbers... if you don't mind me asking, how much did all that run you with the install??

The GTO and Stang are two different beasts....given two good drivers...I think they would be neck and neck....we'll find out. (but enough hijack...)
The heads ran around $1200 fully assembled. I picked up the comp cams off of ebay new for $350. Head install kit was about $110. Odds and ends gaskets/bolts - another $50ish. TB - $189, Plenum was $109. Water pump was like $60. Idler pullies were another $30. Labor was free but took about a week with me and my buddy to do. And then slap the tune on top of that - $300ish so say around $2500 out the door to do it all (free labor). But you have to take into consideration, I pretty much replaced the entire top end of the car. I figured with 74k miles on the odo that it was best to do so and not have to worry about it. We will be driving this car hard all summer long and hopefully winning some events. Feel free to ask questions, I wouldn't have posted if I didn't want to share the knowledge and my experience.

The before and after numbers are from a Dynojet dyno.
And they only part that was tough was dealing with the Long tube headers. 1/8 turn at a time on some of those nuts!!! Took forever!

Sweet mods bro and congrats on the install yeah im getting Bassani Headers and U/D pulleys put on next week cant wait
after that will be heads and cams gotta decide on what combo to go with looks like you got good gains from the comp and patriot heads was thinking of trying the patriot mainly because of the price about 600 less than VT's Stage 2 Heads. anyhow congrats on install hope you enjoy.

Was the install hard? Like on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being really hard what would you rate it at. I was thinking of doing the same thing with a buddy of mine after I get my car back. Did you dyno tune it or handheld?

You have to dyno tune that the hand held might I mean might limp you to the dyno, but it will not run properly at all.

Surprisingly, we drove it for a couple days without issue. It fired right up.
We took it to the dyno shop (Big Shot Dyno) and had them tune it on the dyno. It was running a little lean before the tune but was streetable. We just didn't get on it at all until the tune was in. It is a time consuming job, but not a hard one. All I can say is double check the torque specs and make sure your head oil plugs are where they need to be. If you don't have long tubes you could do this job in two days (if you work all day both days). I'd give it a 7 (10 being the hardest) just because of the torque specs and sequences. Fords have a lot of bolts.

I want to thank my shop Back Street Performance in Medina, Ohio for allowing us to work on the car in their garage for a week and a half!! (they are my GTO sponsor shop)
Also, big thanks goes out to our other shop Big Shot Dyno for doing the dyno tuning!!! (Ford tuning experts)
