going with a 3650 instead of t-45 Q's

how hard would it be to swap a t45 setup to a 3650? someone told me all you had to do was change a few electrical things and you would be fine. the flywheel and all of that from the t45 would still work.?.?

I've not done or heard anything about the swap, although I'm sure you'd be much happier with the TR3650... especially on the highway with the lower overdrive.

Yeah Flywheel will still work, everything is the same. Bellhousing and all. Different trans, like internally its stronger... Except the TR3650, is a POS in my own opinion. You can have youres. But i would rather have my T-45. There is even a TSB for the TR3650 to replace internals because its such a POS... you could counter me with reverse syncro's going in the T-45. But thats not as much to worry about as it is to have grinding gears at 0-8k miles.

So yeah they will bolt up, im sure some sensors are in different places, so you might have to extend wires, or pick up some slack. But i have never done this swap, so dont be mad if there is other stuff involved. lol.

So... my advise. Get a T-56 if you want a tranny for now, but it will cost more. Also, if you want a tranny to hold up and have money pick up a TKO.

But to each his own my friend... do what you would like. :wink

Yeah man...I honestly wouldn't make that swap because there's all kinds of problems with the 3650's....
