Shifters in
I just got my MGW shifter in and i got a question. Im not going to use the shift stops since i have the 3650 and the directions kinda made it sound like i shouldnt back them all the way out but im not sure. Do i take the shift stop screws completly off the shifter? And should i use that whole tube of seal or just enough?

Use only as much sealant as you need.
And I took my shift stops all the way out and haven't had any problems... I hope you love the shifter, I do!

Take the shift stops all the way out of the shifter, if you don't there's an outside chance that they could, with the help of vibrations, work their way back in pretty far and cause damage to your tranny when you try to shift.
For the sealant, I used up pretty much the entire tube, there's not that much in there to begin with. But yeah, just use what's needed, and there won't be very much left. |

I pretty much used up all of my tube too. Make sure there are no uncovered spots on there before you put the shifter down.

While on the shifter topic, here's a very good deal.

Nah, it's just a great deal I wanted to pass on. I haven't seen them that cheap.

I used 3/8-16 x 1/4" button head cap screws to plug the stop bolt holes--you can see them in the center photo here...
