grinding noise?


i bought a hurst short shifter for my 02 gt and its making this funny grinding noise, is this normal? i heard some people say theirs makes the same noise but im not sure

you can hear it best in 5th but it also does it in 3rd and 4th and when im giving it a little gas

That would be the extra noise you get from an aftermarket shifter. If it's the same type of grinding noise as I'm thinking (Sounds like grinding while the engine is running) that's all it is. Mine is noisy as well, I have a Steeda Tri-Ax.
