most supercharger kits will provide everything you need for your car to safely be compatible with it. if it doesn't however you'll need larger injectors, bigger pump or a boost a pump, larger maf, plugs are recommended and a few other goodies. the most important thing is a good tune.

i'd recommend getting a centrifugal type blower i.e. vortech, paxton, procharger. (these 3 are the best imo) at a safe boost level you could see anywhere from 350-410HP depending on what bolt ons you already have. keep in mind you get what you pay for before buying.

edit:: assuming you have a stock GT

they start at about 3500 bucks and up and they can add 100-150 hp and up depending on the SC.you also have a choice of roots type and centrifugal SCs.roots like kenne bell will improve low to mid range which is a lot more useful.then theres centrifugal like prochargers that improve mid to high range.IMO turbo is the way to go cuz they are much more efficient.Check Turbomustangs.com for more info on turbo systems if interested

i don't think they're that much better but then again it's personal opinion. a high HP centrifugal car will be more streetable than a high HP roots car. the centri blowers make good power up high and where are you at in the 1/4??? it's already hard enough to get the tires to stick down low

maybe you need to think about where you want the power to be and keep in mind how you usually drive.... and go look at all these supercharger brands websites and see about how they compare price wise. And I believe you will need a tune with just about every supercharger you go with, exept maybe the mongoose kit

If you don't have a FORGED bottom end you don't need a supercharger. That being said go with a Kenne Bell, mine is getting a 2.6. But then my motor was built just for that S/C, form the get go.
My real advice is "plan your build and build your plan" saves much bucks and you get the ride your looking for. Trust me my 01 is my 8th build, and is 17 months into it.
