P1151 and P1152 code..anyone had them?


Okay I talked to a few people, but I just want to get some closure. This may be confusing, but read this.

Codes:

P1151 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Lean - Bank No. 2
P1152 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Rich - Bank No. 2


Okay, 2 nights ago car threw a code. Got the P1151 code (lean) cleared it. Came back.

Then I had 2 codes, the p1151 and P1152.

I bought a new o2 sensor. Put that on bank 1, and took the original bank 1 sensor (no codes for that) on bank 2. The CEL light is still on. I disconnected the battery to clear the code.

Now, in my case, I dropped the tranny. Is it DEFINATLEY the sensor? OR a ripped wire on bank 2 (driver side)? Im really lost on this right now, driving me nuts.

How hard is it to get from the wiring harness? The wires are secured. But maybe from the adapter to the wiring harness it ripped or something?

I know Ive been posting some newb questions, but Ive been really trying to get this all figured out with, its driving me crazy.

if it was a ripped wire, it would be along the lines of a no signal or what not. No switching means the O2 sensor isnt sensing the rich/lean back and forth it see/reads as the car corrects itself.

could be problems with the EGR system, vacuum leaks, fuel pressure/fuel leaks, vapor recovery system

Okay so a ripped wire it out of the question.

The fuel pressure seems okay. I viewd live data and it seemed fine.

Vacuum leaks, I doubt it to be honest since I didnt touch any lines or anything but Ill check.

EGR system, how could I check that?

Vapor recovery, how do I check that? I have to get the car running right tomorrow. thanks man!

EGR, will need a data logger, while cruising, you will have a % of an egr value. ONLY cruising. Idle and WOT EGR shouldnt be opening. Id have to look, but theres an accepted value, it should be at, but if you didnt get an egr flow code, prob not that. You can vacuum check the valve itself, make sure its got a good diaphram. Just hook a vacuum pump to the nipple and squeeze, should see the diaphram move up and down.

The vapor recovery is the evap, fuems from the gas tank, make sure the purge valve is working, not stuck open

check the wires anyways, never hurts to double check, esp if the trans was dropped

IDK either man b/c I get the same problems. with the code. The 1151 will pop up first and then a few days or so later the other will pop up. I have been clearing them. I do have long tubes and was told that that could be helping with the problem but my tuner said that when I come in to get tuned for my S/C once i get it in he will be able to tell me for sure.

Sucks for sure not knowing.

make sure no wires were pinched between bellhousing and engine block. I think it is a wiring issue, any other problems usually set bank 1 or 2 lean or rich codes(p0171,p0172,p0174,p0175, etc)

no wires were pinched. I purposley checked that before I bolted the tranny back up.

so Idk, when I put the new o2 sensorin,the CEL came on immidatley, so I disconnected the battery to clear it. Well see if it just had to be cleared again, if not fml.

I cant even see where the wires go up there. I can connect and disconnect the o2 sensor in that clip, but after that i cant see the wires.

Also, can I use my dads SCT tuner on my car to check the CEL Codes? My fucking screen on my tuner is broke. Im having the worst luck right now

Same deal here -- I have the SCT and it dosn't say a whole lot except that it indicates a lean condidtion. I have my wideband in and it dosn't pull lean so IDK. I know the wiring is ok to b/c I have checked it all. Crazy lame codes

i would run your sct and check your bank 1 and 2 short term fuel trims. after your car warms up post what the avg when you are sitting at idle is at.

Okay went to autozone to check the CEL, threw 8 codes. Please help me guys, Im so lost right now here they are:

P0443 - EVAP Purge Valve Circuit Fault
P1451 - Lack of Response From Passive Anti-Theft System Module - Engine Disabled
P0135 - Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater circuit fault - Bank No. 1
P0141 - Downstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater circuit fault - Bank No. 1
P0155 - Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor circuit fault - Bank No. 2
P0161 - Downstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater circuit fault - Bank No. 2
P1409 - EGR Vacuum Regulator circuit malfunction

What the fuck? Is it possible I ripped the wiring out from the harness? If so where about is that wiring harness?

I replaced the fuse it got rid of every code except the P1151

Im thinking an exhaust leak is causing that.

do you still have your egr hooked up? i think i know whats going on. if you do when you get in boost it is leaking past your egr valve. that would explain the lean condition. the anti theft thing is a pats thing and i dont know a whole lot about that. i would just get rid of your egr crap since your sc. if you have an exhaust leak at the header it will trip a lean condition.

easy way is to buy a delete kit from upr or any other company. they are about 20 bucks. it has a plate to cover the egr valve and a cap for the header. then you get rid of the dpfe, egr valve and egr vacuum regulator. another thing for your evap line your tuner can get rid of that threw a tune and you can run your gas tank vented instead of back into the intake. the evap system does not work when your in boost so that check engine will pop up every now and then.

alot of people look past the fact that the oem set up for our cars is to run under constant vac and it was never made to handle boost.

So I fixed my driver side exhaust. It was leaking bad lol. I thought thats how the clutch sounded, yea I had a massive leak at the driver side manifold lmao.

Fixed that, car feels 10x better.

Went out for a 15 min ride, as Im coming down my street P1151 pops up AGAIN...WTF!!!

I know man, my fucking scan tool broke. Fucking sucks. Somehow got water in it. That thing was amazing too. Maybe the code wasnt cleared from disconnecting the battery or something? Like it was "Pending" and it came on?

I cleared it, if it happens again idk wtf to do. Im losing my patience.
