99-04 engine
i was told that there is this kid with a 99-04 GT that has a completely "built" engine running a "big" shot of nitrous. with no supercharger/turbo and apparently he beat a twin turbo Z06. which i wont believe intill i see. what is the most you could get out of the car horsepower wise with out a power adder? what do you guys think about this?
i didnt know what section to put this in. |

these are only my guesses here, other members can be more precise. I too find it hard to believe beating a twin turbo z06. 5.7 twin turboed? thats 405hp, stock, never mind turbos adding in whatever amount of boost. capable of bringing it well up to 600 or 700hp. But being fully built, idk i need more description on there term of "built". Im guessing its at least throwing down some power, he probably stroked it or bored it with some forged internals to handle that "big" shot of nos. My guess is about 500hp and below, shouldnt be more than that from my guesses. For instance there are member with 05-09 3V GT's with 100-125 shots puttin down a lil shy of 500, sooo thats how i back up my guess

lol i think it was in a dream or the z06 driver just sucks major ones lmao but ive been askin around n the most ive seen people respond just a lil over 300rwhp on a full bolt on engine, but with a stroke out 5.0l they say close to 500rwhp but idk

my guess is even tho that guy may be a badass with his built GT, if he legit raced a twin turbo-ed z06 i would put my car and left testicle that z06 would kick ass. Iv driven stock c5s, and those things get up at GO, like you have to be careful in 3rd gear. nevermind FI. dude mans talking out of his ass. idk were he came from were he beat a FI z06, doesnt even make logical sense. like only in the paradox of ponies and unicorns MAY he have a massive big block "built" so there for maybe somehow someway for a short time he would have him. idk, thats my rant

^^^^ you driveing a stock c5 and its fast to you? lol
and if he has a built motor with head and cams and nitrous he is over 500 to the tires...most likely over 600 to the tires on the bottle... and if its a 800hp z06 that means it is a 7.0 litler c6 that has a 427 and yes with twins and 8lbs of boost they do put down 700= tp the tires...i cant say the guy is lying because honestly anything can happen.. note to self..next time i drive a stock c5 be careful in 3rd gear lmao...........

but your totally bullshittin bout a "built" GT motor, look at the specs for a 99-04 GT 2V 4.6L engine, stock its mid 200s for torque and horse. shit cant get up to 500 from being "built", nos would send it a lil over for sure. maybe stroked, but then that totally doesnt make since because it wouldnt be a 4.6 anymore.... |

you dont have to stroke it to make power dumb dumb...and you figure the OP said he talked to the guy that has the vette and he says he has 800hp and c5 z06 isnt gonna make that with twins being on the stock motor lol... and if he has a built motor dumby i was refering to being over 500 on the bottle dipshit lol....now go play your need for speed pro street game and get sideways at 85mph in your stock c5 lmao..:p
and it kinda would make sense that i know they made a c5 z06 also which came with a ls6 by the way if i knew about the c6 right?

lol, you guys crack me up. no 2v is going to make 500rwhp on motor alone. i have heard of select few 4v's that can do it. highest hp pi headed 2v i can remember is like 403 or something like that. highest tfs headed n/a 4.6 i heard of is 423 to the ground. depending on set up, will factor how much nitrous can be ran thru the 2v as well.

bullllshit why would you put on twin turbos on a stock motor, you wana blow shit up? i play need for speed enough to know that silly goose!
and who the goddamn knows what you new about the vettes. why dont you read some shit before you try to act all smart when actually you look like a raging dick head. When c6 gen came out they didnt used the LS6 Block only the LS2,3,7, and 9 block. |

you dont just throw on turbos without beefing up other stuff like internals, injectors and drivetrain, thats how you blow shit up and make it unreliable. its common sense. with any car
