Suspension question

This is probably a simple question but i don't know jack shit about suspension mods. I was lookin at Steeda's Drag Launch Spring kit w/ Airbag. What exactly does the airbag do performance wise? lol, keep in mind i know next to nothing about this stuff. Thanks alot guys.

when you are launching your car off the starting line. the torque of the motor makes the rear passenger side squat causeing the car not to leave in a straight line. the air bag installed on the passenger side spring prevents it from squating on that side and keeps the car straight when you leave the line.
Eibach has a launch spring kit like this pretty popular for serious drag racers

glad I could be of help man. If and when i get my car as fast as Id like Im gonna buy some drag launch springs with a bag. And sale my eibach lowering springs.

Personally if your really in the market I would check ebay for a set of used drag springs. and Ive also been told that the front springs are what really helps here cause the ones my buddy has are like 4 inches talled than a stock spring. The rear drag springs are comparable to a fox body 4 cyl rear spring holds the car up enough to drive but is weak enough to transfer weight to the rear axle on a launch. So if ya are on a budget you might want to find a set of front used drag springs some 4 banger rears and an air bag kit.
Also I suggest some 90/10 drag shocks upfront

Eibach has a launch spring kit like this pretty popular for serious drag racers
Close...

When you see a car leaving wheels up with the body twisted to the right the driveshaft is doing the opposite to the axle: the drivers rear is planted hard, and no matter what it looks like, the passenger rear is actually trying to lift. Whether it's an airbag or stiffer spring you're basically preloading the passenger rear to keep it planted.

I guess you're also right...

Keeping them both planted keeps it going straight... Now you know the rest of the story and you didn't have to wait on Paul Harvey to tell it.
