Hellion turbo guys & others chime in please!

I was looking at the HOT side piping for the Hellion, Ponydown, and any other turbo kits that I can find that runs a single turbo. And from what I have seen, all the kits exept for on3 route the pipes onder the k-member. I am just trying to figure out something different. I basically am going to build mine as a custom hotside mixing a little of all the companies for the best fitment.

Has anyone else on here done this?

I am looking to do this soon, and will post pics if anyones interested.

Ok, Looking at the Hot side of the turbo piping and the routing of the piping, I'm not a big fan of how the pipes run on the On3 kit. As I was looking at the other kits out there, I noticed that (from what I could see from pictures) that the exhaust comes up under the k-member. I felt like this would be a problem for lowered cars. Now the On3 kit goes over the A-arms and but it is in the way of turning the wheels all the way unless you have skinnies on the front. I am always looking at making improvements to my car.

I bought the kit because of the bang for the buck. But with any car, there is always room for improvement no matter what it is. If there wasn't what fun would it be if you couldn't do any custom work to the car. Not saying the On3 kit is bad, but I like to make things as better if possible.

Well I hate to say it but I doubt you will be able to fab it together using different companies...I say this b/c they wont just let 1 peice go at a time and such.

But bet is to get a custom hotside made.

P.S I hate kits that go under the K-frame. On3 as that goin for em.

I use to be the same...not really wanted to do a K-frame for a long time. But now that I have it(no installed) I am stoked for the c/o's and the weight loss from it. The K-frame and the alum block next year should really drop off some good weight on the nose!

If you have the skills and tools to make a custom hot side, then all props to you and you shouldn't need to ask any questions. Make it strong!!
