SCT = good tuner?

SCT SF3/X3 Power Flash Mustang Custom Tuner w/ 3 Free Custom Tunes - 3rd Generation SCT XCalibrator - FREE SHIPPING! good tuner / good price? Does anyone know how this one works / is it user friendly? like how could i eliminate an engine code with a tuner?

I had one for my 04 and liked it. I had nothing to compare it too and I had a custom tune installed from my local tuner but I loved the features of it.

I liked the one I had for my 02 GT. I could pull codes, clear the CEL codes, adjust different options etc. That being said, like WNTS 2RN, I had nothing to compare it to. It was a little frustrating that it took me about 5 canned tunes to finally get a good tune, but at least AM worked with me until the various problems I had were fixed.

The general rule of thumb is if you plan to dyno tune eventually, find a dyno shop you like first and ask them what they use and then go with that brand.

One of the best, though they say the Diablosport is more user friendly. Listen to this guy ^ find out what tuners around you use first before you buy. For example I didn't check and now I have to drive 2 hours to get tuned since everyone around me uses SCT.

i just bought this for my 09 about a week ago and i love it. Very easy to work with and yes u can pull codes with it.

the diablo is more user friendly and it has more options for tuning the tranny WOT and Partial throttle pressure. But i noticed my car pulls a bit harder and shifts a bit harder through the gears with my sct tuner. Ppl will say they are all kinda the same and do the same thing but from the seat of the pants feel the sct will get you more power vs the diablo the diablo is more user friendly though. I only sold my diablo bc the shop im gonna get my blower done at only works with sct not diablo.
