dry sump in a stang


is there any advantage to having a dry sump oiling system than the fact that you can lower the engine more or not have that big oil pan

there are advantages, but damn its expensive. i was about to do a dry sump system in mine, but decided i didnt want to spend that amount of money in a street car.

Dry sumps are way bad ass. Having more clearance is the least of the benefits it provides. You could probably make 5% more hp from the reduction in windage.

No link, but the cost can easily run $2000. You might be able to get it done for a bit less, but its not a good bang for the buck mod at all.
