suspension install

I went to the local performance shop around here and they want $550 to install springs, s/s and c/c plates. That seemed pricey, what you think?

Thats just install? WOW I have done everything but the springs and it was really simple! And everything I have read about springs is that it is really simple too! Save the money and buy some gears and get them installed for that price! Do the work your self!

i did my springs, struts/ shocks, and swaybars myself. it's pretty easy. it can be a little time consuming, but when you think about the money you saved and the experience you gained by doing it yourself, it'll be worth it.

I would do yourself bud, it took me and a friend a little more than an hour to install my Eibach kit. If you have a Jack and some stands, its easy. Save your cash!!!

Wow, I must be a Dee Dee Dee....
I just did mine about two weeks ago, and I wouldn't say it was hard, but it was definately time consuming. Granted I like to take my time and make sure I'm not screwing s-it up. Took about 6.5hrs. That was on a lift with two people.

I would vote to do it yourself and save the $$ for other mods! But have a friend help (help = make sure you don't drop the car on yourself, and if you do-laugh-then call 911). Read the how-tos several times so it goes quicker. Also make sure you have all the tools you need. Get some new cotter pins, before you start!! I always forget to do that...till the tie-rod end is already off! If you have access to an air compresser and an impact wrench it will make the job go a little quicker.

One thing I also did, because I had it on a lift, was replace the fuel filter. After 86K it still had original. ACK!

That's my .02!
good luck!
