Funny question. Do you need those orange tips on your injectors?

The reason im asking is cuz im wondering if it makes the injector faulty. If this is the case then it explains my bogging problem cuz two of my injectors are missing the orange cap/tip of the injector. if not i can put in some spiffy 24lb injectors and it saves me 70 bucks a pop for new ones.

I put a new intake manifold gasket on, cleaned up the corosion on the head and put some 60,000 watt coils in and new iridium sparkplugs. Flushed the radiator and did a full synthetic flush on the engine. It runs better and sounds better since its not leaking air, but it still bogs at low RPMS.

p.s

The good new is after I replaced all that, my check engine light went off and the whole time i thought it was my offroad X-pipe!

Ya i cant find anything on the net about it either.

whats "stoou replace with the largeck injectors?" mean? stock with longneck? lol

i have the stock 19lb injectors (6 with the orange tips and 2 witout).
I have a set of cobra 24 pounders too but half of them are missing that orange cap as well.

Some fellow mustang guys (backyard mechanics) say that the injectors dont work without them and the other says it does.......I cant find anything to proove them otherwise or back there claim up. Just dont want to aimlessly spend moneys.
But this bogging problem is blowing my mind......
I guess the only way to know if its those two injectors is to test
