The air would help keep the intake manifold cooler in theory...
That is about it though. I dont see it messing up the radiator to be honest. I mean that is in the front of the car, the air that would go in the scoop is already going over the car.. Agree on a heat extraction hood though

The hood scoop from a 1999 limited edition or 00 spring edition has the center support. cutting a hole in my hood and removing the grill actually lowered my iats with the air blowing on top of my KB inlet. it also lets my car cool off quicker when it is sitting still(off)

Where do you think the air that's flowed through the radiator goes? You have to think about the total flow of the air through the system, not just it's entry point.

Do it man, cant hurt having cooler air in the engine compartment... just be sure to reinforce the hood scoop or it will break off.

i have a mach 1 hood and my hood doesnt budge going up to 110
If anything the hole will just help dissapate heat quicker I can see the heatwaves coming from under the hood and noticed a slight drop in coolant temp on the very unaccurate temp gauge

You could JB weld some thin aluminum stock to the scoop. Personally I would never attempt to glue the scoop down. I would use bolts for sure.
