different sounding exhaust question

so is it just me or do the 99-04 mustang generation seem to have a louder/deeper exhaust system then the newer 05-09 gen.? i know the older engine is 2valves per cylinder, vs the 3 valves but idk if that would make a difference? just curious cuz ive been seeing alota exhaust videos lately and the older gen seems louder and or deeper...?
why is it like that if so?

This I'm sure, has to do with the design of the engine itself. The way the cylinder heads burn/release gas into the exhaust. I know what you mean, the 2V is raspy and deep, but the 3V can be outright raspy sometimes.

90% of the time, the 3v sounds like poop compared to the 2v.
Thats just me though.

I have heard a 3v with straight pipes and that was the loudest sounding car Ive ever heard, would a 2v with straight pipes be as loud?
