What SC to buy?
Between a ProCharger (my choice), Paxton, or Vortech which would be the best all around buy, and why? Pro's and cons? My car is an 01 5 spd Gt with Professional products typhoon intake, plenum, 75mm throttle body, catless dynomax exhaust and 3.73's.

I've never used anything but a Procharger (d1sc) on a mustang...I liked that is was self contained.

i recommend a novi2000. it's self contained(i'm pretty sure anyways) and can supply good numbers both for a stock block or anywhere up to 700+. without having to upgrade your blower ever.
or. just save your money and put nitrous on it. .

novi 2k is a great unit from paxton, the vortech v3 si is a good unit from vortech, and the p1sc-1/d1sc are the head units from ati i would go with. im not a fan of the standard p1sc

Vortech S trim: least expensive, reliable, perfect for a stock motor street driven car but can also put you over 600hp if need be.

the si trim has replaced the s trim. the s trim has proven its self over the years and it is a much better unit than the p1sc in alot of ways so if your buying a used unit and you have to choose a p1sc or a s trim i would go with the s trim. the vortech T trim and the d1sc are very close but the d1 is a better unit to alot of people cause it is self contained and the step ratio is a little more aggressive

be careful which vortech kit you get with our car, vortech offers the v3 si only in a tuner kit. the full kit comes with a sci trim which flows 100 cfm less than the si trim

So what do you think about this kit? ATI-1FE212-SCI
Is it the P1 or the D1? What are the kit #'s for the other two brands? I'm wanting a 100% complete kit

if you plan on making big power i would put your sc kit together. i wish i would have built mine this way. ysi trim unit 3200, everything you need to mount it to your car 270, 4 core ic 160, extra piping and collectors 80 dollars, used cobra hat and pumps 150-200, home make power pipe 100 (thats pushing it), hpx slot style maf and housing 300, tial 50mm bov 250.
total=4560, before shipping and tune. vortech si non ic kit 3799 before shipping for an extra 761 dollars have a full blow threw kit ready to make all the power you would ever want. sure its not cheap but if you plan on building a motor and really wanting big power this is the way i would go. edit sorry i forgot injectors, depending on size you want to run they range from used cobras 200, to brand new 80's 380. It may get made daily, but it still doesn't hurt to post it because it isn't the exact same post somewhere else. I honestly don't see the problem lol
