Transmission range sensor bad...


If its not one thing its another these days...
Had my new tranny installed and guess what it came with a bad Transmission Range Sensor... wooo hoooo lucky me... So they are goin to send me a new one has anyone had to replace this before? Anyone have any instructions?.. I have no idea what directions they are going to send with it.

no directions necessary. just unhook the shifter linkage(pry it off with a trim tool or screwdriver). unplug the connector. mark the edges of it with sharpy so taht you know where it's sitting on the trans, there's 2 10mm bolts hokding it on, pull those off, it'll then pull off. then reinstall in reverse order. try and put the new one on in the same spot as the one you took off.

it should take longer to jack the car up then to change the sensor

Thanks for the help man... Hopefully ill get the part tomorrow and fix it on Saturday. Ill let ya know how I did.
