Cats or no cats

Got mufflers welded on (flowmasters) i'm thinking about taking the cats off. Is it worth the cash getting them cut?

Will it hurt or improve gas mileage?

If they're cut, what o2 simulators should I get?

Cats are not required in my state but no one will remove them. All businesses will receive a 10,000 fine if they get caught removing them. Not sure of your state rules but you should check it out. You could just unbolt it and blow them apart of the inside with gas. Just torch em and bolt it back on. They will be on but it will be the same as not having them. It will be a little bit louder.

You can remove them legally if your emissions exempt.

Catalytic Converters are required by Federal law for all licensed vehicles. That means they are required in all 50 states. Some states do not have inspections and the law is not strictly enforced but shops that cut out cats are subject to huge fines if they get caught. Off-road pipes are sold for vehicles (race cars) that are not licensed to drive on the roads. In states without inspections you can usually get away with running off-road pipes. But an LEO looking under your car can still give you a ticket.

Idk minnesota is pretty pissy when you fuck with there emissions but its not like you see a cop looking under your car everyday. I got my o/r h pip ready to be installed in a couple of weeks. Just do no cats! We wouldn't have laws if they weren't suppose to be broken.
